The Saalachtal lies in the middle of the Alps. The valley takes its name from the river that winds its way through the gorgeous nature. All of the mountain streams empty into the Saalach, and can change what was once a stream into a flowing river. The town Lofer lies at the bank of the Saalach.
Lofer is the central point of the Saalachtal and therefore the ideal starting point for many activities.
